ONE OF THE FEW - a new book - 15/04/08 08:06 PM

A Bedford (UK) author (John M Shipman) has written a book which has been published in March 2008. It may be a useful or an interesting book as it describes the Battle of Britain from a Spitfire pilots point of view. The book is titled One of "The Few". The book features the experiences of Ted Shipman (RAF) and Hans Kettling (Luftwaffe). The book features the activities of RAF 41 Squadron and many others. The book features some of the air battles over North Yorkshire, Catterick, Leeming, Teeside, Lincolnshire and Kent. Hampshire is also featured.

The author is currently taking bookings for talks on the same subject (in the UK) and the author would welcome questions at any time.

Perhaps a copy of this book might interest you? Copies are available either from the publishers (see below), Amazon UK, book shops or from the author. The author would welcome the chance to sign books.

Publishers are PEN & SWORD BOOKS LIMITED, 47 Church Street, Barnsley, South Yorkshire S70 2AS

Author can be reached by email on j.m.shipman"at"ntlworld.com (replace the "at" with @ )

Dear All,

The author was good enough to send us a copy - a review will be in the next Autumn edition of INTERCOM (and posted here soon - I've almost fininshed the book!)

Regards,
