The RAF Heany Association is seeking to contact any former RAF personnel who were based or who trained at RAF Heany (23 SFTS and 4 FTS (Rhodesian Air Training Group) in the 1930s, 1940s and early 1950s.

The Association aims to keep former servicemen from RAF Heany and their families in touch through its newsletter, which includes both news and reminiscences of time spent at 'Happy Heany'. For those who can make it, we have an Annual Reunion and AGM in September each year (see posting in 'Reunions' forum). Membership is free and open to former servicemen of RAF Heany, and also to their wives and families.

Please get in touch if you would like to become a member and we'll send you our latest newsletter.

I have a photo with my Dad in it from 1941 on the back he has written "The Happy Heany M.T. Drivers 1941" My Dad passed away in 1994. I would like to learn more about his service there. There are lots more photos in his album but most don't have any notations. Maybe someone could help me. My Dad's name was John Forsyth and he was from Keith, Scotland

My late father was ground crew stationed at No. 23 SFTS Heany (June 41 Aug 43). I have a packet of small (2"x1"!!) photos (unfortunately none are annotated) which I could photocopy on to A4. Would these be of any use to anyone?
Regards
