You may already be aware that The Royal British Legion has been leading Pilgrimages since 1927, enabling servicemen and women, their families and friends to visit cemeteries and memorials of the conflicts fought over the past century. Our Battlefield Tours are perfect for those wishing to know a little more about a campaign, and focus on what Field Marshall Wavell called the ‘actualities of war’-how ordinary men overcame extraordinary challenges in the face of fear, fatigue and a determined enemy.

Over the coming months we are organising a range of Pilgrimages and Battlefield Tours which may be of specific interest to you. Our 2008 programme begins with a special 90th Anniversary of the RAF Tour exploring the experiences of the men of the RAF and their predecessors from the Airfields of South East England to the battlefields of Belgium. This tour runs from 31st March-2nd of April at a cost of £236.

Other visits which you may like to consider are:

• Holland Pilgrimage-18th-22nd April-£397
• Dambusters Pilgrimage-15th-18th May-£367
• Peenemunde V2 65th Anniversary Pilgrimage-17th-21st August-£645
• Operation Market Garden Battlefield Tour-18th-22nd September-£409
• Battle of Britain One Day Special Tour-15th September-£49
• Northern Germany Pilgrimage-2nd-7th May-£655

We pride ourselves in our quality of care and sympathetic approach; we are the only specialists in visits to battlefields, war cemeteries and memorials across the globe, taking Remembrance into the field, from Belgium to Burma, France to the Falklands.

Poppy Travel welcomes anyone and everyone on our Tours and Pilgrimages, holding the privileged status as providers of the Government War Widows Grant-in-Aid Scheme.
