Some 18 members of the Woking Branch attended the Battle of Britain memorial service at the RAF Shelter in the Brookwood Military Cemetery on 16th September.

Two squadrons of the Air Training Corps were on also parade together with contingents from the Royal British Legion, the Royal Air Force Association and the Royal Naval Association. The service was rounded off with a march-past, and music was provided by the Salvation Army Band. The Mayor of Woking was in attendance and the Salute was taken by our branch President, Air Commodore Tom Bennett.

Our members then marched to the nearby American Military Cemetery and placed a plaque of condolence, pertaining to the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre, at the base of the flagstaff.
