Another Very Successful Flying Night

This year's ever-popular annual Flying Night was held on 19 June. Some 90 passengers were flown in light aircraft by volunteer pilots orgainsed once again by Alan Milton of Mann Aviation at Fairoaks. Despite the arrival of a dark and flashing thunderstorm, which brought everyone scutlling back to base a little early, many veterans and their families enjoyed the thrill of flying and many old pilots got their hands back on the controls.

After the flying, which was managed by Eric Smith and his ACA team of marshals and tellers, everyone enjoyed a splendid buffet supper and the excited buzz of conversation that typifies flying people who have just landed from a sortie.
