At recent meetings of the Woking and District AirCrew Association at Fairoaks Airport members and their families have been entertained by a series of stimulating talks given by guest speakers.
Nick Glover spoke of ‘My Lucky Life in Aviation’, Alan Grace on ‘Berlin, an Amazing City’, Tony Rest on ‘Five Flights that Didn’t go According to Plan’ and, most recently, David Mearns on being an expert witness at the inquest into the fatal crash of an Army Air Corps Lynx helicopter in Afghanistan in April 2014.
The ACA will join with the Woking Branch of the Royal Air Forces Association to hold their Christmas lunch at the Camberley Heath Golf Club on Wednesday, December 7th. The principal guest will be Wing Commander Elizabeth (‘Lizzie’) Nicholl.
