Terry Butler

The May meeting at Fairoaks provided the members with an intriguing insight into the work of the "backroom boys" by guest speaker Terry Butler, BSc, MBCS, CEng, a retired Operational Analyst with MoD/RAF. He told of the birth of operational research in the First World War, its development during the inter-war years, and the achievements of the "boffins" in WW2.  He then outlined his own career in more recent times before answering questions put to him by his audience
