AIRCREW ASSOCIATION
ARCHIVE

The Aircrew Association Archive Trust dissolved as a charity on 30 June 2020.

Nevertheless, the ACA Archive at the Yorkshire Air Museum at Elvington will endure and continues to welcome contributions.

The Archive exists to record memories and memorabilia of military aircrew and to make sure that key material is carefully preserved and available for research and display.

Please think carefully before discarding any relevant material and consider offering it to the Trust.

See the Trust page for details of how to make contact with the ACA Archivist, who will be delighted to assist.

MEDWAY ARMED FORCES DAY 30 JUNE 2012

Dear Armed Forces friends and friends of the Armed Forces,

Medway Council has organised a major Armed Forces Day event in Rochester on Saturday 30th June. It will be a day of celebration and recognition for the young men and women and veterans of our Armed Forces. Great effort has been made to make the event attractive to all age groups and we are keen to see as many people as possible enjoy the day which is a FREE entry event. Could I ask you to distribute this information to your colleagues, employees and contacts on your internal company intranet as we wish for as many people as possible to join us for this very special day?

Medway Armed Forces Day features include:

A military parade of nearly five-hundred personnel through the High Street at 1045 led by the Band of HM Royal Marines.
Have-a-go activities with the Royal Engineers, Army Medics, Infantry, Royal Naval Reserves and Royal Air Force.
A dedicated Hospitality Pavilion for members of the Armed Forces and Veterans.
A giant inflatable assault course.
Military heritage displays.
Kiddies rides and inflatables.
Drive a digger.
A great music programme including the RM Band, Pipe Band, Fabulous Fez Heads and the Swingtime Sweethearts fresh from singing for HM QEII.
Gates open at 1000. Parade at 1045. Drumhead Service at 1115.

This event is promoted by Medway Council supported by the MOD, BAE Systems and the Medway Messenger.

MANY, MANY THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

With all best wishes,

Bill Fowler.
